Alithea is constantly expanding its access to primary human tissues through collaboration with a network of CROs, academic institutions and other biobanks and through its own biorepository of HLA-typed tissues.

The ability to share biobanked samples with researchers worldwide accelerates discoveries across various fields of medicine, contributing to global health improvements. HLA-Compass, which is partly based on the measurement of samples from the biobank, is a great example of this.

The focus of the biobank lies on oncology cancer research and fresh-frozen tissues optimal for immunopeptidomics investigation. Alithea has collected expanding sets of lung cancer, gastric cancer and ovarian cancer sample sets. Each sample in a biobank is typically linked to data as HLA type.

Patient consent and strict ethical guidelines ensure that Alithea’s biobank operations respect privacy and data security.
